Pancake Breakfast-Methodist Church

PANCAKE BREAKFAST at the Union Church (2 N. Laws St.) Saturday, October 13th 7am to 11am. Cost is $7 for adults; $4 for children (Ages 4-10); Children under 3 yrs. of age are free. Menu includes sausage, scrapple, baked apples, pancakes, fruit juice, and hot coffee. Also, Union Church will once again be giving out bottles of water all day on Saturday, Oct. 13th

Car Show

Hosted by the Southern Delaware Street Rod Association from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday. Car Show participants must arrive between 7am and 9am and enter via Main Street, onto Delaware Avenue. Registration opens at 7:30 am on Delaware Ave.; judging 1:00 - 3:00 (must be registered by 1:00 pm); awards 3:30 pm at Stage. Open to street rods, customs, pro-street, antiques, classics, muscle cars, special interest, 4x4, new cars & trucks, motorcycles (no motor homes or campers). $10.00 registration fee.

Political Row

Political Row is located in the heart of the festival, beside the food court. If you or your party would like to join us at the Apple Scrapple Festival fill out the attached form or contact us at kjohnsonasf@yahoo.com. Funds raised from this area support the festival and allow us to provide a spectacular event for the public.

Children's Area

On Saturday from 10am to 3pm, children can enjoy pony rides, games and so much more at the children's area located beside the Bridgeville Police Department.

Kiwanis Home Decorating Contest

The Kiwanis Club sponsors the Apple Scrapple Home Decorating Contest. Registration is not required. All decorations mst be within keeping of the Apple Scrapple theme by using apples and scrapple or a fascimilie of each. Contest winners will be announced Friday evening at the main stage. Judging will be completed on Thursday, therefore it is important to have your decorations in place by the Wednesday before the festival.

"Fun on the Farm" at T.S. Smith & Sons

Visit Delaware's oldest and Sussex County's only commercial apple orchard for tours, demonstrations, exhibits, wagon rides, free samples, and more! Free transportation will be provided between the farm and PNC Bank.

Invitational Scrapple Sling

You won’t want to miss the Invitational Scrapple Sling. This event is by “invitation only”, join us as local and state representatives compete for the coveted Scrapple Sling trophy! You never know who may be slinging scrapple; from our Sussex County Council members, local mayors, pageant queens, to County and State officials. The sling will take place on Saturday at approximately 2 p.m. at the stage area, behind the fire hall. Come out and support your favorite. Who will take home the trophy this year? Ladies Skillet Toss, Scrapple Chunkin' Contest, and Kids Apple Toss

These signature events feature contestants chunkin' scrapple "shot-put" style, tossing iron skillets, and tossing apples! Prizes are awarded to the top finishers in each event. These events will be held on Saturday beginning at 1:00 pm at a NEW LOCATION: 2 N. Laws Street by the cemetary gate! Registration begins at 1:00 for the Apple Toss, 1:30 for the Skillet Toss, and 2:00 for the Scrapple Chunkin' Contest.

St. Mary's Episcopal Church

St. Mary's Episcopal Church on North William Street will serve a chili luncheon from 11 am to 3 pm. The lunch will consist of homemade chili, chicken salad sandwiches, rolls, and beverages. The ladies of the church will also hold a bake sale from 10 am to 3 pm. Also check out the quilt display.

The show, held on Walnut Street and Laws Street, begins bright and early at 9 am on Saturday and runs until around 4 pm. *******We are at capacity for Origami Owl, LulaRoe, SeneGence/Lipsense, Avon, Damsel in Defense, Perfectly Posh, Solar Energy products, Color Street and Scentsy.

Food Court

The food court is a juried event and we take pride in offering diverse choices to our festival goers. Our food court cannot expand and we must limit our vendors for this reason. Additionally, food court fees are based upon the amount and type of menu options you wish to offer. The years’ previous vendors are invited back and spots available after the deadline are filled according to items needed in the food court. If you are interested in being considered, please provide detailed contact information, intended menu options, and a digital image of your set-up. Once we receive this information, we can make our determination. Please send the information to bcw7275@aol.com.

5K Hogg Jogg

The 5K Hogg Jogg sponsored by O.A.Newton's Lindenmere Home & Gift Market will be held at the Heritage Shores Sugar Beet Market and the course will run through the Heritage Shores community and golf course. On site registration begins at 7:15 am and the race begins at 8:00 am. Fee: $15. A t-shirt will be awarded to all runners with special awards to top female and male finishers in each age group.
