RAPA Scrapple Cooking Demonstration

RAPA Scrapple is hosting a scrapple cooking demonstration for the 2023 Apple Scrapple Festival! Follow the link to pre-register for the event.

Ladies Skillet Toss

This signature event features contestants tossing iron skillets and is returning after a one year hiatus! The Ladies Skillet Toss will be held on Saturday beginning at 12:30 pm for registration and the event begins at 1:30pm. It is held between the Union Methodist Church and St. Mary's Church, 2 N. Laws Street by the cemetery gate! Prizes are awarded to the top finishers in each event.

Little Miss Apple Scrapple Pageant

This event will be held on Friday, October 13th at 6:15pm on the main stage behind the Bridgeville Fire Hall.

Car Show

Hosted by the Southern Delaware Street Rod Association from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday. Car Show participants must arrive between 7am and 9am and enter via Main Street, onto Delaware Avenue. Registration opens at 7:30 am at the corner of Laws St and Delaware Ave.; judging 1:00 - 3:00 (must be registered by 1:00 pm); awards 3:30 pm at Stage. Open to street rods, customs, pro-street, antiques, classics, muscle cars, special interest, 4x4, new cars & trucks, motorcycles (no motor homes or campers). $15.00 registration fee. Orchard Point Market

Visit T.S. Smith Orchard Point Market for more Family Fun during the Apple Scrapple Festival, located at the 9045 Redden Road. Inside the market, you will find a variety of fresh produce, along with apple cider donuts, fresh apple cider and slushies, and apple butter, all for a perfect autumn outing! Enjoy our delicious breakfast sandwiches or cold sandwiches from our OPM Café and Grill. Relax while enjoying our outdoor seating area, petting zoo, fall decorations, pumpkins, and play area. Our Market is part of the historic 115-year-old T.S. Smith and Sons family farm, and the oldest apple orchard in Delaware and a Delaware Century Farm. Senior Center (Outside) Craft Show

Kiwanis Home Decorating Contest

The Kiwanis Club sponsors the Apple Scrapple Home Decorating Contest. Registration is not required. All decorations must be within keeping of the Apple Scrapple theme by using apples and scrapple or a fascimilie of each. Contest winners will be announced Friday evening at the main stage. Judging will be completed on Thursday, therefore it is important to have your decorations in place by the Wednesday before the festival.

Invitational Scrapple Sling

You won’t want to miss the Invitational Scrapple Sling. This event is by “invitation only”, join us as local and state representatives compete for the coveted Scrapple Sling trophy! You never know who may be slinging scrapple; from our Sussex County Council members, local mayors, pageant queens, to County and State officials. The sling will take place on Saturday at approximately 2 p.m. at the stage area, behind the fire hall. Come out and support your favorite. Who will take home the trophy this year? Trade Show
